My little guy is used to doing all of his business outdoors since he was a baby. Now he’s older, but since when it’s winter or when it rains, he doesn’t want to do his business outside. How can I train him to do his business indoors? I have the training pads & I bought this spray that I can spray on the pads that is supposed to help him go. But he doesn’t use it. Any advise??? He’s getting older & I don’t want him outside in the winter or when it’s too hot either.

So I have a 12week morkie at home and I got him this past monday night. First night went well, he slept in his crate and he behaved. The days after weren’t so bad. Today, he is being very very aggressive, he is bitting harder and he does not want to listen to me or my BF sternly tell him no. When we give him his toy to chew on instead of biting one of us or chewing on something he shouldn’t he still does not want to listen. Also, as far as the potty training goes, when we take him out he sometimes will not go and we start playing with leaves. he growls when we try to tell him no and go potty. Oh he also growls when he tell him no when he bites us.

I just don’t know what to do. am I not doing something that i should? this is the 3rd dog i’ve ever had and i have not had this problem. I know its only been a few days, but he just seems to be behaving worse? The place we got him from offers one free training session and we plan on going as soon as we can.

Anyway, if someone can please give me some advise that would really help. thanks

He nips when kids run indoors. He barks at doors, phones and other noises. He also barks at stray cats.
I don’t have the money for trainers, and have tried training from books and collars.
I have looked at searches on google. It doesn’t relate to my dog, or money is asked. I need sites that allow me to tell a trainer about my dog and they can give me advice. Thank you.

I am looking for a small dog. I have a huge yard but it isn’t fenced so I need a good inside dog (that won’t tear up my brand new leather couches!) and one that can run around outside without running away. My neighbors have dogs that run around outside and play together so I’d like a dog that can do the same. Obviously I would have to do some training to have a dog like this but I was wondering what breeds are more likely to behave this well. Also, my boyfriend is on deployment so if I got a dog now, would there be problems when he comes home in 4 months? I would like something along the lines of a maltese or a mini yorkie but for all I know, this could be the wrong dog for me. Any advice would be great! :) Thanks.
to clear up the boyfriend thing… of course I would get his permission lol. And yes we live together. I’m wondering how a dog would react once he comes home. To the dog, he’d be a complete stranger all of a sudden living in its house. Can dogs adapt to that kind of stuff or would it be better to wait until he comes home in 4 months?
